That&#8217;s why we&#8217;re launching this fright-free edition of Digital Marketing Tips &#8211; just in time for Halloween! You can expect fresh social media growth inspiration every single month from our own social media marketing experiences. We share these to make social media less scary for you, whether it&#8217;s October or any other month. Here are the Digital Marketing Tips from September 2018:<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Facebook<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-sheets-value=\"{&quot;1&quot;:2,&quot;2&quot;:&quot;Invite people to like your page on FB who like your comment on other pages &amp; your posts&quot;}\" data-sheets-userformat=\"{&quot;2&quot;:513,&quot;3&quot;:{&quot;1&quot;:0},&quot;12&quot;:0}\">You can target Facebook Ads to Job Titles. This seems like a no-brainer, but a lot of the titles are pretty general, i.e. Marketing Officer, Corporate Lawyer, Staff Accountant, etc. You may not reach who you want, considering how much titles vary from job-to-job. We&#8217;ve had much more success targeting based on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/business\/help\/341425252616329\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #3366ff;\">Custom Audiences<\/span><\/a> and even <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/business\/products\/ads\/ad-targeting\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #3366ff;\">Interest Groups<\/span><\/a> that are more relevant. Running an ad relevant to a particular company? <a href=\"https:\/\/thedigiterati.com\/employer-job-title-targeting-back-facebook-ads\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #3366ff;\">Targeting by Employer<\/span><\/a>\u00a0is the best fit for you\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Twitter<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-sheets-value=\"{&quot;1&quot;:2,&quot;2&quot;:&quot;Don't overdo super popular twitter hashtags&quot;}\" data-sheets-userformat=\"{&quot;2&quot;:513,&quot;3&quot;:[null,0],&quot;12&quot;:0}\">Certain hashtags dominate the trending topics on Twitter every week, including <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%23MondayMotivation&amp;src=tyah&amp;lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #3366ff;\">#MondayMotivation<\/span><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%23fridayfeeling&amp;src=typd&amp;lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #3366ff;\">#FridayFeeling<\/span><\/a>, and more. It&#8217;s okay to include these hashtags in your relevant tweets every now and then, but don&#8217;t overdo it. You&#8217;ll hurt your authenticity by appearing too hashtag-focused and not audience-focused. Your audience expects originality out of your brand &#8211; keep it fresh<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Instagram<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-sheets-value=\"{&quot;1&quot;:2,&quot;2&quot;:&quot;Engage with #WHP every week&quot;}\" data-sheets-userformat=\"{&quot;2&quot;:513,&quot;3&quot;:{&quot;1&quot;:0},&quot;12&quot;:0}\">Instagram videos are some of the most powerful social media posts you can run. There are so many things you can do in 60 seconds, and your video will <a href=\"https:\/\/sproutsocial.com\/insights\/instagram-algorithm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #3366ff;\">auto-play<\/span><\/a> in the feed. Instagram videos are changing how people think across industries &#8211; head to the 34:12 mark of this <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/mWtMyYy6h0k?t=2052\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #3366ff;\">GaryVee meeting with Drake Bell<\/span><\/a> to hear how rapper <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tierra_Whack\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #3366ff;\">Tierra Whack<\/span><\/a>\u00a0created a whole album with 60-second songs so she could share the music videos on Instagram<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>All of the Above<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>With the holiday season coming up, it&#8217;s important to remember people will naturally be less engaged with social media as they&#8217;re spending more time with family. Keep churning out that content and brightening up their timelines with creative holiday posts, but don&#8217;t be discouraged when your posts get lower reach and engagement<\/li>\n<li>There will always be spammers on social media &#8211; don&#8217;t be afraid to <a href=\"https:\/\/help.instagram.com\/372161259539444\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #3366ff;\">report these accounts<\/span><\/a>. When you report an account, it automatically blocks them from following and engaging with your profile, and flags the platform&#8217;s support team so they can ban the account.
