Founded in 1923, the Association for Education
Communications and Technology (AECT) is a
professional organization of thousands of
educators and others who actively promote
scholarship and effective teaching and
learning through instructional technology.
AECT is the national and international
spokesperson for the improvement of
instruction and is the world's largest
publisher of information concerning a wide
range of instructional technology.

AECT members and book buyers are primarily
educators who are actively involved in the
study, planning, application, and production
of communications media for instruction
(computers, projectors, etc.) and a systematic
approach to learning.  Members work in
schools, colleges, the Armed Forces, museums,
libraries, hospitals, and many places where
educational change is underway.
