Members of the American Industrial Hygiene
Association are industrial hygienists employed
in government, industry, healthcare, military,
research, academia and as consultants.  These
scientists are responsible for insuring worker
safety and are experts in aerosol technology,
asbestos abatement, biological monitoring,
ergonomics, exposure assessment, gas and vapor
detection, hazardous waste, ionizing radiation,

Founded in 1939, AIHA is a nonprofit
organization with more than 75 local sections.

degrees and 6% possess doctoral degrees.  AIHA
promotes, protects, and enhances industrial
hygienists and other occupational health, safety
and environmental professionals in their efforts
to improve the health and well-being of workers,
