The College promotes the prevention and treatment
of diseases of the chest through leadership,
education, research, and communication.  Its
members are recognized practitioners who provide
patient care in the areas of pulmonary, critical
care, and sleep medicine.

Founded in 1935, the ACCP is an international,
multidisciplinary organization with 17,000
members in more than 100 countries.  Member
physicians treat patients for asthma, COPD,
